For Community Groups#

Why Farnham Voice works through community groups#

Farnham Voice does not try to replace existing community groups. We work through them.

Local groups already understand their areas. They know which issues are isolated, which are wider, and which residents are most likely to be affected.

Working through established groups means surveys reach the right people, participation is more representative, and trust is maintained within existing relationships.

What community groups do#

Participating community groups help Farnham Voice by:

  • Raising issues — identifying concerns that may benefit from structured survey data
  • Spreading surveys — sharing survey invitations with members by email or newsletter
  • Providing local context — helping Farnham Voice understand the background to an issue
  • Reviewing results — checking draft summaries before publication where appropriate

What Farnham Voice does#

In return, Farnham Voice designs short, focused surveys, collects and organises the responses, produces clear, anonymous result summaries, shares findings with the relevant council champions, and publishes results and council responses on this site.

Who can take part#

Any established community group based in the Farnham area can work with Farnham Voice. This includes residents’ associations, neighbourhood groups, parish council networks, local charities, and local societies with a community focus.
