Open Invitation to Residents’ Associations#

Dear All,

Many of you will have received an individual approach from Farnham Voice a few months ago. At the time, the wider purpose behind what we were building may not have been clear.

For some time, we have been independently gathering and publishing evidence on town-wide issues, including safe crossings, parking zones, and other matters raised by residents.

The aim is to give residents across Farnham a clear opportunity to have their say, then provide Residents’ Associations with stronger town-wide evidence to support their own advocacy.

All research and results are published openly at farnhamvoice.uk for everyone to use.

Residents’ Associations across Farnham work in different ways, and not every part of town has one. We want to bring associations together on the larger issues that affect us across neighbourhood boundaries. Each association remains independent, but we can share evidence, coordinate where our interests align, and help give the wider town a voice.

We will be holding a meeting for Residents’ Associations to discuss how we can work more closely together on these shared issues.

We are looking for a single representative from each Residents’ Association to attend, so that every association is equally represented on the night.

Refreshments will not be provided — but please support one of Farnham’s great local pubs by grabbing a drink while you’re with us.

Whether or not you wish to take part directly, we would appreciate residents who approach you about these issues being directed to the relevant work, so everyone has the opportunity to contribute and decide on matters for themselves.
